Do any of these sound like you?
-
"I'm at a transition point and want to break into something impactful and exciting, but I'm not sure what it is"
-
"I know what job I want, but I can't seem to get it"
-
"There has to be more than the 9-5 soul crush I'm in"
-
"Should I stay in my job, go back to school, or found a company?"
I'm pretty sure I've said these all at some point. In fact, I've been in your shoes -- took off time from work, applied to schools, changed industries, changed roles. It took forever and was super painful, but luckily there's a better way.
Instead of spinning wheels, making risky life changes, and wondering what-if, put some structure to building a meaningful career without the compromises you assume are there.
Let's add some structure to your game plan and execute it.
What to expect
We won't just create a plan. We'll execute on it. Depending on where you are in the journey, that could mean finding what's next during your transition to tactically landing the job you want.
We'll take a structured approach to figuring out your game plan and executing on it. I will be your copilot through it all, even through to helping you land the job if needed (creating a brand, resume review, interview prep, and negotiation). As a hiring manager from big tech companies, brands, and a climate startup, I'll get you through what it takes to land the job.
Key Components
-
My support throughout the duration of your journey, typically 6-12 months
-
10 private 45 min sessions. We'll start biweekly.
-
Unlimited support by email & voice memo
Some of the steps we'll take together, depending on where you are on finding jobs you want to landing them
-
Creating a personalized plan
-
Defining your non negotiables in a role
-
Defining the realm of impact you want to make, guiding what types of roles or investments outside work make sense
-
Finding possible roles and paths out of work that create more meaning for you
-
Narrowing on the one through prototyping that helps you test what works best for you without massive commitment like going back to school
-
-
Executing the plan:
-
Coaching through landing the new job we've identified (brand building, resume review, breaking in to a new role, interview coaching, negotiation) if needed
-
Coaching through new approaches to current role to build meaning or allow for more out of work, if needed
-
Coaching through making investments out of work that align with purpose, if needed
-
This means we build the plan and execute on it together. You'll walk away with principles that will stop the wheel spinning, an action plan, and a partner to help you through completion.
Investment
Starting at $5,950 for mid level professionals.
If you're going to take a bet on yourself, take the bet and give yourself the best shot. The price of your time, sanity, and career are too high to not invest in.
Words from a few people I've worked with
Jordan Taylor, Cofounder of Seso (Index, Founder's Fund)
Jamie's has the unique combination of raw horsepower, empathy, and ability to instill calmness. Before I started working with Jamie, I was burdened by indecision as a leader. His coaching helped provide me clarity on how to make decisions with limited information and high pressure, and was instrumental in not only combatting the insane stress/burnout which accompanies the founder journey, but also thriving and becoming the happiest I've ever been. Jamie is extremely unique in the world of coaching - he combines legitimate formal training with real world in the trenches experience while being a highly empathic listener to both push me to be my best self while providing the support I've needed in the most difficult times.
Brian Powers, CEO of Markups.ai
Jamie has helped me acknowledge the real professional and personal challenges of scaling a business from 3 to 500+ people. But rather than just wallow in the challenges, he helps bring a clear perspective and real solutions that can deal with them. He speaks in the opposite of platitudes because he genuinely cares about the specifics. He is someone you can bring anything to, so that you only bring your best to your coworkers and investors. As an entrepreneur and investor, I have never seen a situation where board-members weren't highly supportive of hiring a coach like Jamie. If you can't play basketball without a coach, you definitely can't scale a business (and enjoy it!) without one.
Dom Francks, Founder of Vivify
Jamie has been a game-changer in my ability to believe in and commit to myself. Having him in your corner has been a huge boost to my energy, my decision-making clarity, and my confidence in taking risks to live the life that's calling to me. His personal experience allows him to get into the weeds on my issues, while he's also able to support me in zooming out and playing the longer-term game. Jamie has supported me in moving from deep confusion around how to balance all the seemingly disparate parts of myself, to setting out confidently on a path I can call my own.
Emily Yeston, CEO of Dore
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Jamie in my role as a founder and he’s been an incredible support in helping me to navigate building my business with a focus on sustainability and humanity. Jamie’s experience as an entrepreneur makes him an easy person to talk to about both the tactical and emotional challenges that you navigate when building a business, and his insights and shared understanding brings a level of empathy and expertise to his work that is incredibly valuable to any founder.
